It’s that time of year again. Football season is right around the corner. We hope the offseason has treated you well. But now we need to switch gears and get prepared for the season.
The annual WPIAL Officials Clinic is from July 31 to August 3. July 31 is the crew or all official meeting followed by the Referee/Umpire meeting on August 1. On August 2 is the Head Linesman/Line Judge meeting followed by the Side Judge/Field Judge meeting on August 3. The crew meeting starts at 7:00 pm and all other meetings start at 7:30 pm. The 2nd Annual WPFOA On Field Mechanics Clinic is being held on Saturday, August 6, starting at 10:00 am, at the Boyce Middle School field in Upper St. Clair, 1500 Boyce Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241.
Come join us for a great opportunity for all officials to kick start their fall football seasons with great learning / refresher experience and shake off some rust.
Each position will be lined-up in position as in a game situation and a offense will line up so that the each position can break down the play with their keys. The clinic will be led by Denny Lauria and Michael Widrich , the WPFOA Rules Interpreter.
